Approach

My approach is based on cognitive behavioural therapy whereupon emotional processes play an important role. 

Behavioural therapy basically assumes that human psychological experiences and behaviour are formed by learning processes. This is a scientifically well established insight. Accordingly it is possible to reach positive psychological change by therapeutic interventions which try to reshape learning or enable new learning processes e.g. through exercises. Thus e.g. fears, cumpulsions or depression can be diminished or eliminated.   

The approach makes it possible to take into account human emotions and needs as well as thoughts which influence emotions and needs. 

The main aim it is to overcome psychological problems in the long-term and to develop (new) perspectives in life.
